There are many ways to browse anonymously online. From turning on incognito mode on your desktop to downloading a plugin to cover your tracks. If you share a computer with your family you might not want them being aware of your every move online, most people use private mode to do this as it is readily available on any PC. Removing any cookies you might have while browsing will also stop some kinds of tracking, but not all. Furthermore, you can stop your computer from sending location data, you simply do this by opening your browser and going into settings, content settings and choose to either allow or disallow any website to track your physical location. In addition, to completely mask your online presence you can use a VPN (virtual private network). This masks your IP address and assigns you a new one so that you appear to be browsing from a different location. Lastly, to achieve the highest level of anonymity a user may utilise a TOR browser, this distributes internet traffic through a number TOR servers so that you visited can view only the IP address of the exiting node.
